Children’s Parties

Want to treat your child this Christmas? Need an exciting alternative to the usual birthday party? Why not bring them down to The Ice Factor Our children’s parties provide the perfect solution for an original and exciting birthday or Christmas celebration.

Come and enjoy a one-hour skate at The Ice Factor, the North of England’s largest outdoor ice rink, with a gigantic 30ft Christmas tree in the centre, and picturesque wooden cabins and an illuminated forest surrounding the rink.

After your skate, new to Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland this year is PapaKitchen at The Ice Factor – the rinkside Café & Bar has been transformed into a ‘apres-skate’ style chalet, complete with cosy furs and rustic wooden tables. Serving wholesome meals with a Scandi-licious twist. PapaKitchen can cater for all party occasions or just a chance to have fun with friends, offering tailored menus to suit all tastes and budgets.

These packages provide an original solution to your Christmas party needs, and can be adapted to fit all kinds of Christmas celebrations. With The Ice Factor as your party venue, you and your party can share the enjoyable and memorable experience of a skating session, and our special music compilations and theatrical lighting guarantee a fun and festive atmosphere.

Group Bookings

If you simply want to skate, we offer a discount of £1 off each skate ticket for groups of 20 or more. Groups can be a combination of adult, child and concession tickets, but there must be at least 20 to qualify as a group. For more information please call 01653 619169 (mon – fri 09:00-17:30).

Club Bookings

Our club groups package is ideal for clubs, organisations, societies and sports teams made up of children aged 16 and under, giving everyone a magical and memorable experience over the Christmas period. Hundreds of members of cubs and brownies as well as sports teams and more visit The Ice Factor every year.

Enjoy a guaranteed fun and festive atmosphere, with York’s biggest Christmas tree, theatrical lighting making the rink sparkle, and special compilations from Minster FM to really get them dancing on ice!  Click here to find out more about our packages available to all clubs. York Resident

The Ice Factor is pleased to offer our City residents the chance to skate with a fabulous £2.00 discount per ticket. To qualify for this offer, residents should book their tickets on site at the ticket office and produce their York Card as proof of residency. No other proof will be accepted. The discount applies to weekday sessions only, up to and including 4.45pm session from Monday 25th November to Friday 13th December. Happy Skating!
